Invoices & Tax

Define your own tax rates and business number — compound and inclusive tax supported — so receipts reconcile to the cent.

ChartVault bakes in no tax rules. You define your own, so receipts are correct for your jurisdiction.

Configure your tax

In Settings → Invoices & Tax, set:

  • your business number (shown on receipts),
  • your tax rate(s),
  • compound tax — e.g. a PST that applies on top of GST,
  • inclusive vs added — whether tax is included in your price or added on top.

How it applies

Once set, the receipts you print for sessions and packages use these rules, and the figures reconcile to the cent. Common setups all work:

  • United States — no tax.
  • Canada — GST, or GST plus a compounded PST.
  • EU / UK — VAT added on top, or included in the price.

You're in control

Because nothing is assumed, ChartVault fits whatever rules apply to you — and you can update them at any time without affecting past records.
